What is happening at Walt Disney World?

As of July 15, all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks have now reopened.

As a reminder, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park remains closed at this time. However, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open!

Important updates have been implemented across the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings to promote physical distancing based on direction from health experts and government officials.

Park attendance is being managed via the Disney Park Pass reservation system. From May 15, face coverings for Guests will be optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, with the exception that Guests must wear face coverings starting from the entrances at all attractions, theaters or transportation and throughout those experiences. Face coverings are still required in all indoor locations for all Guests.

I have an upcoming stay at a Disney Resort hotel. What does this mean for my holiday?

If you have a Walt Disney World package booking for arrival in 2021, or for arrival in 2022 if booked prior to May 20 2021, you can cancel free of charge up to 7 days prior to departure (excluding transport fees within 100 days). Bookings made from May 20 2021 arriving in 2022 are subject to standard booking terms and conditions.

I have a Walt Disney World park ticket. What does this mean for my holiday?

If you purchased your ticket before 11th June 2020 and were due to arrive before 31st December 2020, the validity of your ticket has been extended through to 30th September 2021. Your ticket will not be valid for admission after that date. Your ticket will update automatically, and you do not need to contact us. If you wish to cancel your ticket, we will provide a full refund.

What happens to dining reservations that required a credit card at the time of booking?

Reservations made at locations impacted by the closure will not be charged a cancellation or no-show fee.
