What is happening with Thomas Cook?

Thomas Cook has officially ceased operations, meaning all Thomas Cook Airline flights and Thomas Cook holidays have been cancelled.


I’m currently in-resort and due to fly home on Thomas Cook flights booked through you. What are my options to get home?

Walt Disney Travel Company International have been informed by our flight provider that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will be providing Guests new flights in order to get you back to the UK. These flights will either be on CAA-operated flights or you will be placed on existing flights with other airlines. You will need to contact the dedicated CAA helpline as soon as possible on +44 1753 330 330. Please ensure to provide the CAA with full information, including your flight details, travel dates and your Thomas Cook flight reference.

I have a future booking with Thomas Cook flights booked through you. What are my options?

Walt Disney Travel Company International are working closely with our flight provider to find all our Guests alternative options and will contact you as soon as we have sourced your new flights. We are currently focusing on our Guests due to travel imminently and we will be in touch with you over the coming days with your new details. We kindly ask for your patience while we make every effort to assist our Guests as soon as possible and rest assured we will be in contact with you shortly.


I have a Walt Disney World holiday booked with Thomas Cook. Can you provide information on my booking?

We are not able to provide guidance on information on holidays booked with Thomas Cook. You should check with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at www.thomascook.caa.co.uk or the ABTA website www.abta.com for more information.


I booked my flights through Thomas Cook independently. What are my options?

We encourage Guests to visit the following websites to check their protection as well as guidance on the ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) website at www.abta.com. You can also visit the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) website at www.caa.co.uk, the CAA operate the ATOL scheme and are making every effort to support passengers in all circumstances.


My Thomas Cook Flights I booked independently have been cancelled, can I rebook my flights for the same price with Walt Disney Travel Company International?

No. Should you wish to re-book your flights through us, this will be subject to availability and at the prevailing rate.


What are my options if I need to change my booking if my Thomas Cook flights have been cancelled?

You can change your booking without any amendment fees.


Can I get a refund if I no longer wish to travel?

If you are unable to take the option booking change at no amendment fee, we can offer you a cancellation at no charge with a full refund. Please email disneytraveluk@disneyonline.com with the subject ‘Thomas Cook Cancellation’ to confirm your cancellation. Please note our response time may be longer than usual due to the high volume of Guest queries we are receiving, but we will process this as soon as possible.


Can I transfer my Thomas Cook booking to Walt Disney Travel Company International?

No, we are unable to transfer your booking to us. We can offer you the option to rebook with Walt Disney Travel Company International at the prevailing rate, however there may be some elements of your Thomas Cook booking that we are unable to replicate.


What if I have a package booked directly with Thomas Cook and Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets with Walt Disney Travel Company International?

You can amend or receive a full refund provided your tickets have not been used. Please email us at disneytraveluk@disneyonline.com with the full details of your booking. Please note our response time may be longer than usual due to the high volume of Guest queries we are receiving.
