Where can I find information for guests with disabilities?

Where can I find out information and make a group booking?

Currently Walt Disney Travel Company are unable to make group bookings, however Disney Cruise Line® direct will be able to assist you with these bookings, offering a number of connecting staterooms. Please call 0800 169 0742*.


How many different Disney cruise ships are there?

Disney Cruise Line® has four ships in their fleet. The two original sister ships consist of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, while the two more recent ships are the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

How do I know which Disney ship I will be on?

The sail dates and respective ships are detailed on the itineraries pages on downloadable PDF documents. Once you have booked your Disney Cruise, you will also find the name of the ship highlighted on your invoice. Using your ship name you will then be able to view details of what is available onboard, including restaurants and youth clubs.

How old does an infant have to be in order to sail?

For sailings commencing after 1st January 2015, the minimum age to sail aboard Disney Cruise Line ships will increase from 12 weeks to 6 months of age on most itineraries.

How can I book a Disney Cruise?

You can book your Disney Cruise through our Disney Experts by calling 0800 169 0742*. We advise booking early in order to select the stateroom of your choice. Some staterooms may be more popular than others and these may sell out quickly.


Who do I contact if I have special requirements?

In order to cater for any requirements you or your party may have call our Disney Experts on 0800 169 0742* who will be able to make a booking specific to your needs. A number of adjustments can be made to your booking to ensure your needs are met.


How can I change or add to my booking?

If you want to add port/shore excursions, dining reservations or appointments to visit the spa, please visit My Disney Cruise with your cruise reference number and the date of birth of the lead passenger. If you wish to amend or make any changes to your booking please call our Disney Experts on 0800 169 0742*.

Will I be charged to call and speak to a Disney Expert?

You will not be charged to call and speak to a Disney Expert as this number is a freephone telephone number.


Can I book a cruise only reservation?

Yes, you are welcome to book a cruise only reservation without transportation. Please call our Disney Experts on 0800 169 0742* for more information and to book.


Can I book a cruise with a deposit only?

You can make your cruise booking with just a deposit. £150 per person is required at the time you make your booking, plus any additional flight costs (if applicable) for a European cruise. The final balance is then collected nearer to time of your cruise: 90 days before your travel date for a Caribbean or Bahamas cruise; 130 days before your travel date for a European cruise.


How do I pay my balance?

How do I make a complaint?

Please send any complaints in writing within 28 days of your return to: Walt Disney Travel Company, 3 Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, London, W6 9PE or via email disneytraveluk@disneyonline.com. Please write your Booking reference number on your email, and include your daytime and evening telephone numbers.

Can I add flights for my Disney cruise holiday?

To complete your package you can add flights to your Disney Cruise through Walt Disney Travel Company. Flights for the forthcoming year may not be released at the time of booking your Disney Cruise, and different airlines may release dates at different times. Please call our Disney Experts on 0800 169 0742* for more information on booking a flight and cruise package.


Are transfers included from the airport to the port where my cruise departs from?

When making a booking transfers can be added for an additional cost. Through doing this, you can rely on Disney to take care of all the details getting you to and from the ship.


Which airports will I have the choice to fly from?

When adding flights to your booking you will have the chance to fly from a number of airports, including London and various regional airports.

In light of the recent Ebola outbreak, are there any additional travel requirements in place when travelling to the US?

In an effort to stop the Ebola virus from spreading, airports around the world have introduced additional travel requirements for your safety. If you or anyone in your party have visited Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea or Mali within the last 30 days or have been in contact with anyone who has, please be advised that you will only be able to enter the US at one of the following airports; New York (JFK), Newark (EWR), Washington Dulles (IAD), Chicago (ORD) and Atlanta (ATL). What are the changes to the Air Passenger Duty (APD) for children?

As of 3rd December 2014, the Air Passenger Duty (APD) for children under 12 years old travelling in Economy Class has been abolished for all flights departing from the UK on or after 1st May 2015. From 1st March 2016, this will also be applicable to children up to 16 years old. Please note that this does not apply to children under the age of 2 without their own seat.

If I have already booked and paid for my holiday, how will the changes to APD affect me?

If your date of departure is on or after 1st May 2015, you will receive a refund of the APD for each child in your party over the age of 2 but under the age of 12 travelling in Economy Class. Should your date of departure be on or after 1st March 2016, this is also applicable to children under the age of 16. Should you be affected, we will contact you shortly with more information.

Can I make dining reservations before my cruise?

Yes. You can add dining reservations before you embark on your Disney Cruise through using the Planning Centre. To access the planning centre you will need your cruise reservation number and the date of birth of the lead passenger. How far in advance you can do this will be dependent on your Castaway Club membership, as you will see from the four categories below;

  • 75 days prior to sailing for first-time Disney Cruise Line® Guests
  • 90 days prior to sailing for Silver Castaway Club Members
  • 105 days prior to sailing for Gold Castaway Club Members
  • 120 days prior to sailing for Platinum Castaway Club Members and Guests staying in Suites

What excursions are available for my Disney Cruise?

There are a number of different port/shore excursions available for you to add to your Disney Cruise, however, these will vary dependent upon the locations you will be visiting.

How and when can I book shore excursions/port adventures?

You can book port/shore excursions before you embark on your Disney Cruise. All the details will be arranged and prepared for you by Disney for a hassle free experience of a lifetime. How far in advance you can do this will be dependent on your Castaway Club membership, as per the dining reservations above.

Can I book youth activities or a place for infants in the nursery?

You can book places in our nurseries for children aged up to three years. You can also discover all the youth activities available onboard your Disney Cruise through the planning centre and pre-register your children for these. How far in advance you can do this will be dependent on your Castaway Club membership, as per the dining reservations above.

What is My Disney Cruise?

My Disney Cruise gives you an opportunity to tailor your cruise to your family through adding port/shore excursions, dining and spa experiences. This portal can also be used to check-in online and allow a speedy boarding process when you arrive at the port. You will also find useful information on packing tips and documentation requirements. To access My Disney Cruise you will need a Disney account, plus your cruise reservation number (found on your cruise confirmation email located under the accommodation details of your stateroom where it is titled 'Disney Cruise Line® Details') and the date of birth of the lead passenger.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance?

Walt Disney Travel Company are unable to offer travel insurance at this time, however, we strongly recommend that you and your party are covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy for the duration of your holiday, to cover you for any injury or sickness including medical treatment. Proof of insurance may need to be seen before medical treatment is given.


What do I do if I do not receive my Disney documentation?

If you do not receive your Disney documentation for your cruise please call our Disney Experts on 0800 169 0742*. You may also find it helpful to use My Disney Cruise as this allows you the opportunity to check in online and access all the information needed regarding your cruise.

Onboard


Where can I find information on activities and areas on my Disney cruise ship?

There are a number of activities onboard a Disney Cruise for all ages of the family to enjoy and all tailored to the age groups involved, from a themed nursery for children as young as twelve weeks to youth activities and adult-exclusive bars. Each ship will vary with the activities they have onboard.

How will I know what activities are occurring and when?

Each morning you will receive a tailored newsletter called the Personal Navigator; this will include all the activities taking place during the day along with the various entertainment options. This includes all children and teen activities along with the family entertainment. The guest services team onboard the ship will be happy to answer any queries you may have and will have copies of the Personal Navigator if these are needed.


Is there anything specifically for adults on a Disney Cruise?

There are a number of activities planned and prepared for adults onboard a Disney Cruise. Wonderful opportunities vary from a special adults-exclusive dinner, dancing the night away in a nightclub, through to a relaxing treatment in the spa. There are a number of areas designed specifically for adults; all ships may slightly differ in what they offer.

Is babysitting available onboard?

Group babysitting is available onboard a Disney Cruise for children aged up to 3 years in one of the nurseries onboard, this is at an additional charge. You can book this before you embark on your cruise through My Disney Cruise using your cruise reference number and the date of birth of the lead passenger. There are also activities and youth clubs available for children 3+ often running well into the evening.

What passport and visa requirements are there for entry into the US?

What is the Visa Waiver Program?

Many travelers seeking to enter the United States for tourism for less than 90 days are eligible to travel without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Why might I need a visa?

I have just got married and my passport is still in my maiden name - is this ok?

You cannot travel to the USA unless your passport and ticket show the same name. The USA will NOT ACCEPT a marriage certificate with your passport in your maiden name whilst your ticket shows your married name.


What is APIS?

Advance Passenger Information (API) is information about passengers required by the US government prior to travel. It was originally introduced by the US authorities to speed up immigration procedures.

  • Full name (last name, first name, middle names if applicable)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • Travel document type (normally passport)
  • Travel document number (expiry date and country of issue for passport)
  • Address of the first night spent in the US

We strongly advise you supply API before you arrive at the airport. This will minimise disruption at the airport check in area. Guests should be able to complete API on their airlines website prior to departure.


Visa and Passport Information (Mediterranean Sailings)


Do I need a visa for my Mediterranean cruise?

If you are a British Citizen, you don't need a visa to travel to the EU from the UK. For Non-British Citizens it is essential to check with the Passport Office whether they require any special permits or visas for your holiday.


Do all passengers, including infants, need their passports?

All passengers, including infants, need to have their valid passports with them at all times throughout the journey.
